It released in April 2020 and is very short in terms of playing time. The first part of DLC centred around the “Battle of Gods” story, it is effectively the same as in Dragon Ball Super. If you are a fan of the Dragon Ball series, I would certainly recommend getting the game. To the point I got a Platinum trophy on PS4. I had a blast playing this game and sunk HOURS into it. The combat system is simple enough to pick up and play quite easily, but with enough nuance to make the battles engaging. The levelling system is the right balance of challenging and rewarding. The art style of the game looks amazing, the side missions are really fun and add some purpose to explore the open world of the game. I was considering re-watching the series for the nostalgia but this game allowed me to play through it again in a considerably shorter time with the same emotion. It is a beautiful journey through the Dragon Ball story with cut scenes true to the anime and brought back so many fond memories of the show. I love Dragon Ball so the opportunity for even more content was always going to be taken up by me. When it was released, a season pass was also available for sale which promised access to 3 sets of DLC.Īt the time of release this was a really exciting prospect for me and I duly bought deluxe edition, including the season pass.
